    I really enjoyed this book -- fills in so many gaps in my understanding about the background of the tension in the Middle East, and gives me a much better understanding of why the problems are so intractable. Also makes me realize (yet again) that there are always at least two sides to any story, and truth in all of them.

    I liked the literary device of following the different people as their lives intertwined, but it made it hard to get all the detail -- I need to reread the book to get all it has to offer.
